Have yourself a very Gaga Christmas… Singer dresses up as a fir tree

You can always rely on Lady Gaga to don an outfit that puts every other person to shame. But now it appears she wants to shame Christmas trees too. The singer suffered for her art in her latest photo shoot in a snazzy green glittery number – which even had fairy lights hidden amongst the ‘branches’.

Gaga tweeted a link to a video of her in costume to her 32million followers – and they immediately began to comment on how great her figure is as she stands topless (but protecting her modesty) at the beginning of the short film. The chart topper is clearly fighting back at the critics who said she had put on weight a couple of months ago.

Two of Gaga’s aides help the Born This Way singer to climb into the elaborate Christmas tree costume. However it is the gold stilettos, which are precariously balanced on little red and gold presents, that seem to be giving Gaga the most problems.

Strike a pose: Lady Gaga doesn’t look very comfortable in her elaborate costume

After a couple of seconds of posing, Gaga sits back down again, and her dressers take on a new role as masseurs, rubbing her feet and back.

Persuaded back onto her feet again by the photographer, Gaga manages to hold the pose for a couple more seconds (but can’t quite stetch to a smile).

And relax! The Fame Monster takes a break between poses

It must have been a relief for everyone involved when the fairy lights in the dress blew a fuse… except for the dressers-turned-masseurs who were put back to work rubbing Fame Monster Lady Gaga’s bunions.
