Life's exciting in exile! Julian Assange is visited by Hillary Clinton and Gaga

Being holed-up in the Ecuadorian Embassy in London might not sound like the most exciting way to spend your days. So all credit to Julian Assange for making the most of the predicament.

The Wikileaks founder will be arrested the second he leaves the Embassy for breaking his bail conditions to do with a Swedish extradition case. So instead of getting some fresh air, he has been making an interesting array of visitors come to him instead.

This week it was the turn of Hillary Clinton and Lady Gaga.

Up close and personal: The pair will have discussed Wikileaks and how the website revealed confidential governmental information

The pop singer popped into the Embassy after attending her perfume launch at Harrods just across the road. She had dinner with Assange, and then tweeted a photo of the pair standing side-by-side.

Assange made a bit more of an effort for his visit from the U.S. Secretary of State (no stained white T-shirt for her). He donned a suit and the pair passed the time playing cards.

But Hillary’s angry look in these photos is probably not only caused by the fact that she was loosing at cards. Assange and Clinton will no doubt have had a heated discussion about how Wikileaks revealed hundred of pages of confidential U.S. governmental information.

The fact that Clinton played cards at all will surprise supporters who will have expected her to be harder on Assange. The Secretary of State must have hoped these photos would remain top secret… She clearly doesn’t know Assange very well.
