Katy Perry was famously furious when her then-husband, Russell Brand, posted a picture of the pop princess first thing in the morning on Twitter. But now the singer is using her own Twitter feed to show that she has nothing to hide.

Katy posted a picture of herself plastering on her foundation on the social media site late last night. And the make-up was being applied so thickly, Katy was using a solid silver cake server!

The move is a refreshingly honest one. We are so used to seeing celebrities looking at their best all the time, it is good to see that they have to work hard at their appearance too. However, the volume of foundation Katy applies to make her skin look smooth is a little more than we are used to applying!

Last we heard from Katy, she was meditating and climbing volcanos. She’s now clearly back into party mode.

We’re pleased to see her getting back on the town. After her divorce from Russell Brand he quickly went very public with his new relationships – including a brief dalliance with Spice Girl Geri.
