If you’re rich, beautiful and Katy Perry how do you go about celebrating your 28th birthday? By partying hard with best pal Rihanna of course!

The pair were spotted downing champagne at a swanky nightclub in LA last night.  The BFFs stayed close together for most of the evening, dancing together and generally having fun, giving no real attention to the many men who surrounded their crowd.

Seeing as both women are now cosied-up with their fellas, Katy P with singer John Mayer and Riri with ex-lover/fighter Chris Brown, they seemed content to simply be in each other’s company as our source’s photos clearly show.

The girls night out follows a big pre-birthday bash organised by Mayer earlier on in the week, where fellow celebs including Kristen Stewart attended the Halloween themed shin-dig at LA’s Magic Castle. However, Katy decided to keep it a small and intimate affair for her actual birthday celebrations.

Having such a great time, we’re sure the bessie mates were pleading with the DJ-”please don’t stop the music!”
