She’s been working extremely hard recently on the launch of her band’s West End musical, but Geri has taken some time out to indulge in a little bit of yummy confectionery. Ginger Spice was snapped at home diving into several delectable looking pies, cakes and chocolates in the ultimate evening of pampering and treats.

Eagerly watched over by her trusty K9, Halliwell stuffed herself silly with a multitude of treats and sweet delights while dressed in a white bath robe.

Perhaps the major pig-out comes at a time when single Geri may have been needing a little comfort, or maybe she simply has been over-doing the calorie counting. Either way, she seemed to thoroughly enjoy herself.

The show – which opens on 11 December and has received mixed reviews from previews -was born out of a conversation between Geri and AbFab veteran Jennifer Saunders. It has added another string to the Spice Girls marketing bow, all five Spices were given creative input, with Halliwell taking the majority of control.

The stick thin singer has often been criticised for her appearance, often taking dieting and exercise to the limit. But it appears that given her heavy work load the former Spice Girl has decided to let her hair down a little when it comes to those high calorie treats, which will probably make for a very tasty Christmas.
